Andrii Sacheva - is an Ukrainian jazz musician, violinist and composer based in Katowice (Poland). His first EP Elusive Signs, defined as indie, escapes the boundaries of one genre. This is an attempt to combine the styles of Australian indie, British alternative rock, jazz and electronic music. The album was recorded without the use of guitars, which is unusual for indie music.

More than 20 musicians from Ukraine, Poland, Germany, the Czech Republic, Lithuania and Spain were involved in the production. The album came out on June 28th 2017, on polish label SJ Records, and Jacek Gawłowski, a Grammy winner, was responsible for mastering.

Andrii Sacheva started the work on the album a few years ago with his Kiev band French Connection Jazz Quartet, and finally finished it in Poland. Sacheva works on album not only as a composer, but also as a producer, sound producer, violinist, drummer, played on piano, synthesizers, ukulele and recorded as a back-vocalist.

The album completely breaks the stereotype of representing the sound of the violin. Andrii Sacheva plugs the instrument into Moog's synthesizers and shows that the violin can reign not only in the melody and harmony but also in the rhythm. Using an irregular meter, the musician creates a saturated polyrhythmic structure that performs its role effectively - it raises tension and puts the listener into the trance.

There are 5 vocal compositions on the album - five different stories inspired by the City, its legends and myths, street art and architecture. The solo parties were recorded by: German-Lithuanian singer Ida Sevelkaityte, Ukrainian singer Dana Vynnycka (solist of the band DagaDana) and young Polish jazz vocalist Julia Kania.

The project is under the patronage of Katowice City Hall of Gardens.
